RALLY TOUR: “Missouri: Gateway to the West” We will head out in a modern day stagecoach from the Mathewson Exhibition Center heading west to Kansas City, MO where we will tour the Steamboat Arabia Museum; then off to The National Frontier Trails Museum in Independence, MO. When we arrive the Chuck Wagon will rustle up some grub; we’ll have a catered buffet lunch, including two entrees, potato, vegetable, roll, drink, and dessert! After touring the museum, we will board a real mule drawn covered wagon for a fun filled tour of Independence. $99.00 per person.
When the Steamboat Arabia sank near Kansas City on September 5, 1856, she was carrying 200 tons of cargo.
Lost for 132 years, it was recovered in 1988.
It is a modern-day treasure-hunting story at its best.
Independence was a key starting point for hundreds of thousands of pioneers who risked their livelihoods for a new life in the American West.
When we arrive the Chuck Wagon will rustle up some grub; we'll have a private catered buffet lunch, including two entrees, potato, vegetable, roll, drink and desert!
Followed by a guided tour through the musuem.
Unleash your spirit of adventure as you travel the streets of historic Independence just as the early settlers did by mule drawn covered wagon.
