When we arrive the Chuck Wagon will rustle up some grub; we’ll have a delicious catered luncheon of Pulled Pork, Fried Chicken, AuGratin Potatoes, Green Beans, Cherry Cheesecake, Rolls & Butter and assorted drinks.  After touring the museum, we will board a real mule drawn covered wagon for a fun filled tour of Independence. $99.00 per person.

The Steamboat Arabia Museum

Kansas City, Missouri

The beautiful steamboat Arabia sank in the Missouri River in 1856 with its  200-ton cargo. It was rediscovered 132 years later with its precious cargo still intact. This amazing museum displays a huge collection of supplies bound for the frontier along with many personal belongings, guns, bottled foods, building supplies, jewelry and perfume! You can walk on the full size reproduction of the main deck and the preserved 6-ton stern and paddle-wheel. Our guided tour will include a theater presentation and the working preservation lab. Steamboat buffs will enjoy the gift shop!

National Frontier Trails Museum

Independence, Missouri

Independence was the "jumping-off point" for hundreds of thousands of people as they prepared to travel West! After lunch at the museum and a 17 minute film you are free to see the outstanding exhibits depicting travel along the Santa Fe and Oregon Trails. Passages from diaries and more help bring the history and stories alive where these trails averaged four
deaths per mile. Western history buffs will also enjoy the excellent gift shop! The museum is located on the historic trail so a real sense of history can be felt here!

Pioneer Trails Adventure
Independence, Missouri

This narrated one hour ride takes us on a wagon ride drawn by a team of mules and as we ride along streets traveled by Wild Bill Hickok and the notorious James brothers. We'll pause by the 1859 Jail which once held Frank James and William Quantrill, the Truman National Historic Site and many, many other notable places In Independence. Our driver/
wrangler uses a microphone so all will be able to hear his fascinating stories and narration! This hour ride always receives rave reviews!
